Our milestones

2024

• For 20 years now, we have been developing high-quality food and snacks on a par with human food, as well as natural care products for four-legged friends with passion and dedication. Animals and their well-being are at the centre of everything we do.
  

• Our dry food prepared with FSG is now also available in mini format — perfect for small dog mouths.

• Introduction of 3 new care products for dogs and cats, inspired by nature: EyeClean+Care, EarClean+Care and SkinClean+Care.

• For the new 2025 season, we are expanding our commitment and becoming an exclusive Mainz 05 partner.
  

  As the official jersey partner of the Mainz 05 youth training centre, we will present the PLATINUM logo on the chest of the jerseys of all teams from U9 to U19, including the women's team.

2023

• Our wet dog food prepared with FSG is now available in two additional sizes.
• Introduction of our functional snacks: Fit-Bits, which can have various positive effects and additional benefits for dogs thanks to natural ingredients.

• The well-known German top chef Mike Süsser shows how dog food prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung) can be easily recreated at home for human taste thanks to the special preparation method - for a shared experience with your four-legged friend.
• Once again, and for the 5th year in a row, first place in the CheckForPet food check in the dog food category.
• Just one year after its market launch, MeatCrisp from the Freshmeatdryer takes 2nd place in the CheckForPet food check and is ranked 1st in terms of composition.

• The partnership with 1. FSV Mainz 05 is further strengthened by PLATINUM becoming an official sponsor of the Mainz 05 youth training centre in the 23/24 season.

• For the first time, the PLATINUM Bundeshundespiele take place at Bernsteinsee. The event for every dog and every human inspires two- and four-legged friends and creates unforgettable moments together.

• Introducing our complete dry cat food: MeatCrisp from the Freshmeatdryer
  

• Ranked as Top Rated Pet Food in the CheckForPet pet food check for the fourth time in a row
  

2021

• Big name: We call our unchanged preparation method Fleischsaftgarung and win Snoopy as an ambassador.
• Our dog food gets tested regularly and independently by TÜV Süd ELAB. The following is checked: our proportion of fresh meat (Checking compliance with the recipe at the preparation site), our declaration and for harmful substances to protect the health of your best friend.
• Our new online shop launches.
• Once again 1st place in the CheckForPet food check in the section of dry dog food

2019

• PLATINUM ranked first in the CheckForPet pet food check with more than 250 food brands and 100,000 customer reviews.

• Launch of our wound- and healing-balm “SkinCare” for dogs and cats.

• We are the first and only dog food whose amount of fresh meat gets certified, by TÜV Rheinland.
  
• Launching our wet food Menu mini in the 100g-tray.
• According to a great majority of user of the leading German online community gutefrage.net, PLATINUM gets voted as the most popular dog food.
  

2011

• Introduction of our wet food Menu, packed in Tetra Recart and prepared with a special slow cooking method. Just like our dry food, cooked only in the meat juice — without added water.
  

2010

• Moving to Bingen am Rhein.
• Relaunch of the PLATINUM homepage.
  

2008

• Our dental care OralClean+Care for dogs and cats is introduced and prized with the “Goldener Schau Schau” in 2013.
  

2006

• Our treat and training snacks made by Fleischsaftgarung are available: Fit-Sticks and Click-Bits.

• Rainer Voortman and two other friends start to develop a new cooking method, that brings dog food on the level of human food to increase the quality of life for our best friend.
