Care

An important prerequisite for the use of OralClean+Care is good medical training, which is particularly important for applications in sensitive areas. This not only makes it easier for you to examine your dog at home or administer medication when necessary, but also makes visits to the vet less problematic. If your dog responds positively to the application, subsequent treatment in the mouth area will become easier. If you need support or guidance for medical training, please contact a dog trainer or your vet. The best time to start medical training is during the puppy phase, as this increases the chance of acceptance later on.

Some dogs can react very sensitively to treatment in the mouth area due to trauma, pain, or other reasons. If using OralClean+Care represents a risk of injury to you from your dog, we therefore advise against administering it and recommend that you consult your vet.

No, it only contains citrus seed extracts and herbal oils. The difference lies in the effect: the ingredients have a caring, anti-inflammatory effect and dissolve the tartar in layers during the treatment. Acid would not only attack the tartar, but also the teeth and tooth enamel. You can find more tips on dental care here.

The proportion of alcohol, measured in terms of the dose per application, is so low that it presents no danger to healthy dogs or cats. Alcohol cannot be completely dispensed with, as it serves as a link between the active substances and contributes to shelf life. If your pet suffers from health problems, consult your vet before use. You are also welcome to contact our veterinary department in advance for a consultation.

No, since OralClean+Care is not a bleaching agent and contains no acids, it has no effect on discolouration. However, that means that it does not attack tooth enamel and has a very gentle effect.

Yes: as the product contains herbal oils such as mint, we have been advised by veterinary practitioners to use the product only after consultation with a homeopathic application. It can be the case that the effect of the homeopathic remedy is cancelled out. Please therefore consult your therapist.

If your cat does not like having the gel applied by spreading it on the left and right row of teeth, it is possible to administer the gel using a syringe. In this case, a narrow 1 ml syringe is extremely useful. The amount required for the entire mouth can be drawn into the syringe (for cats up to 5 kg body weight, the amount of gel is 1.2 cm per application, which converts to approx. 0.3-0.4 ml per application). This amount can then be injected into the side of the mouth all at once. Your cat will then distribute the gel throughout its mouth of its own accord, by moving its tongue. To remove the gel with the syringe, simply unscrew the entire dosing cap and draw the desired amount directly into the syringe. For hygiene reasons, we recommend rinsing the syringe thoroughly after use or using a fresh syringe regularly.

What is the difference between OralClean+Care Classic and OralClean+Care Wild Salmon?

OralClean+Care Wild Salmon also contains some salmon oil, which can increase acceptance.

The only difference between our OralClean+Care gel or spray is the application. While the gel is applied directly to the teeth with a finger, the spray is administered directly into the mouth with a targeted spray. When applying the gel, it is necessary to touch the animal's mouth, whereas the spray makes a noise when it is sprayed. You should choose the best application option depending on the character of your dog or cat.

It is best to store the bottle upside down and, if necessary, to warm the gel within the bottle with your hands just before use.

Put the gel in the fridge, which changes the consistency and makes it less runny. If you then also keep the gel upside down, it is easier to empty the bottle completely.
