Product details
Our Puppy Chicken Mini dry food has been prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung). FSG is a method of preparing fresh meat. It comes from the kitchen rather than the feed industry. It was modelled on techniques that top chefs often use to prepare meat, in a tastier and also healthier way.
With FSG (Fleischsaftgarung), fresh meat is cooked in a vacuum at low temperature, using only its own meat juices. After a long cooking time, during which the moisture of the meat juice is slowly reduced, this dry food is created.
The dry food Puppy Chicken Mini prepared with FSG (Fleischsaftgarung) is primarily cooked meat which means following for your dog:
- extra tasty,
- as nutritious as BARF,
- excellent for building muscle,
- quickly digestible,
- effectively absorbed and
- chewable-soft due to the meat juice.
Our dry food also reduces the risk of gastric torsion because it does not swell in the stomach.
Safe and honest
For you, we have our dry food tested regularly and independently by one of the most renowned test centres in Germany, ELAB Analytik GmbH (formerly TÜV SÜD ELAB). What is tested:
- Our fresh meat content: Checking recipe compliance at the point of preparation
- For contaminants, to protect the health of your best friend

Our experience reports

My dog had diarrhoea all the time as a puppy. We tried many things, including having her stool checked for parasites, testing many types of food, but to no avail.
Then I ordered PLATINUM Puppy and from that day on she had no more diarrhoea. Josie was doing well again, she was able to sleep through the nights, and didn't have to go out every 30 minutes.
I recommend PLATINUM to everyone I know.
Now she is three and a half years old, and we feed her PLATINUM Iberico Greens. Her coat is shiny, and she doesn't have foul-smelling flatulence. It’s just great!

After we bought Kira from her previous owners at the age of about 7 months, we switched to PLATINUM wet and dry dog food, as we had already fed our previous dog with it. The dry dog food Kira was fed by her previous owner made her thirsty, and she also smelled. We have been very satisfied customers for many years, because your food is of very high quality, is enjoyed and well tolerated. Kira loves having the dry dog food as a reward. At lunchtime she gets a portion of wet food, which is always eagerly awaited. We can recommend PLATINUM with a clear conscience, as we consider it to be the best food brand. Our previous dog reached the age of 16 and we are convinced that PLATINUM contributed to this great age. A big THANK YOU - keep up the good work!

I have a female Rhodesian Ridgeback, who will be 7 years old this year. Two and a half years ago, she started eating PLATINUM (Lamb+Rice), and it solved many problems...!
No flaky skin, no ear infections and her digestive system is working as it should...
I’m really happy that we switched to this dry dog food and
Nala thinks it’s really tasty.

We tried a few kinds of food for Shadow, but they all gave him diarrhoea - until we tried yours. Since then, he hasn’t had any more digestion problems. He gets dry dog food in the morning and wet food in the evening. In addition, the body metabolises most of the food so only a little is excreted. It is also very digestible as it does not swell like other foods. It also smells very pleasant, so much so that my three-year-old nephew wanted to try it. We are very satisfied with it and highly recommend it, so we are very happy that we can order it again and again without any problems.

Fiona is a very active dog, but she’s also a bit of a princess. Not every food is good enough for her. With PLATINUM, we’ve finally found a food that she really likes to eat. She likes both the wet and dry variety.

FAQ
The timing of the change from puppy dry dog food to adult dry dog food depends (among other things) on the expected size and breed of your dog.
Small breeds (such as Dachshunds and Pugs) can be given puppy dry dog food up to 12 months of age. Medium-sized dogs (e.g. Australian Shepherds, Border Collies) can usually switch to adult food after they have finished teething (approx. 6 months of age), while large breeds (e.g. Bernese Mountain Dogs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks) can be fed adult dry dog food from the age of 4 months. Due to the nutrient composition, we recommend switching to Adult Chicken (Mini) to ensure an optimal supply.
If you would like a customised solution for your dog, please contact our customer service team at info@platinum.com or call our free service number: 0800 3 64 36 63
If an earlier changeover to an adult food is made, we recommend following the feeding recommendations for puppies until they are 12 months old in order to ensure an adequate supply of nutrients with optimum (and not maximum) growth rates. You can also get more information on optimal feeding via our digital food advisor.
If you want to offer your dog a little variety, you can easily switch
between all types of PLATINUM food. It does not matter whether you give
wet food in the morning and dry food in the evening or vice versa. A
combination of wet and dry food in one meal is also possible, as both
forms of feeding have the same digestibility with PLATINUM.
Every dog is descended from the wolf, and the digestive tract is designed for the consumption of meat. Our dry food and wet food are designed to be easily consumed by all dogs - from Chihuahuas to Great Danes - and meet the needs of all breeds equally. Different sizes of dry food and wet food make it easier to portion out the food. The recipe and composition remain identical in all sizes to ensure consistent quality and optimum nutrition.
We recommend an immediate change in dog food without a transition phase. Due to the different digestibility, it is not recomendable to mix PLATINUM dry food with any other dry food.
No, you can rely on the fact that no animal experiments are done for the product development and production of our food and care products - neither by us, nor by any other third party.
To avoid causing problems in the puppy learning to produce the important substances contained in the extract on its own, they should not be supplied in the food in the first 3 months.
Puppies in particular need sufficient energy and more protein in the first few months of their life to ensure healthy growth and development.
You can obtain more information on the optimum feeding quantity via our digital feed advisor, which calculates your dog's individual requirements quickly and conveniently.
A balanced diet is essential for a puppy to develop into a healthy adult dog. That's why our Puppy Chicken (Mini) only contains ingredients that are important for healthy development, and does not contain additives such as green-lipped mussel extract. A puppy's body is not just growing physically - it is also in a learning phase. Among other things, one of the most important substances from the green-lipped mussel is produced by the dog's own body. In order not to interfere with this production, we refrain from providing additional green-lipped mussel extract or other supplements in the first three months of life. These are valuable ingredients for an adult dog, which is why they are included in our Adult Chicken (Mini) dry food.
The only difference is the size of the kibble. The recipe and preparation method remain identical in all sizes to ensure consistent quality and optimum nutrition.
We recommend storing our dry food in the included bag. The food is packed airtight in the bag immediately after production and is not stored temporarily. To keep the contents as fresh and flavourful as possible, our bags have an integrated freshness seal.
The size of the kibble makes it suitable for small dogs up to 10 kg. However, you can also use our Mini dry food for training larger dog breeds or if your four-legged friend generally prefers smaller kibble.

The dry food can be kept unopened or opened after production for 18 months until the best-before date. The wet food can be kept unopened for 36 months and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days after opening.
All information regarding the minimum shelf life of unopened PLATINUM food can also be found on the product packaging.
